ABOUT US
Lucha Libre (Spanish for “free style wrestling” or free fighting) is a term used in Mexico referring to a form of professional wrestling with varied techniques and moves. Outside of these areas, the term is synonymous with the professional wrestling performers in Mexico and other Latin American countries. Lucha Libre is the very soul of Mexico, its imagery and heroes are carried into all areas of life including music, film, cartoons and paintings. Lucha Libre is an important part of Mexican culture. It is second only to soccer (or Futbol) as Mexico’s second-biggest spectator sport and can be seen on any night of the week in at least 10 venues across Mexico City alone.
